LANDSCAPE

My landscape paintings are meditations on place, memory, and the shifting dialogue between people and nature. Working with oil on linen, I capture not only the physical beauty of coastlines, rivers, and bushland, but also the emotional resonance these spaces hold. Each work is layered with atmosphere and texture, balancing realism with abstraction to reflect how landscapes are both seen and felt.

Many of these paintings are drawn from locations across Australia — from the wild cliffs of Bruny Island to the tranquil waters of the Gold Coast and the expansive skies of Wollemi. Yet, while grounded in real environments, my landscapes are never just documentary. They are interpretations of experience: moments of light breaking through, storms gathering, or stillness settling into dusk.

For me, landscape is a mirror of human experience. It carries traces of memory, resilience, and transformation, reminding us of our own impermanence and belonging within the natural world. Through each canvas, I aim to create a space where viewers can feel the rhythm of the land and the quiet pull of its presence — a place to pause, reflect, and connect.
