My portrait paintings are explorations of identity, memory, and the emotional depth carried within each human presence. Beyond likeness, I aim to reveal the inner life of my subjects — their resilience, vulnerability, and individuality. Every brushstroke is a dialogue between myself and the sitter, where gesture, colour, and atmosphere come together to tell a story that is both personal and universal.
These works often extend beyond traditional realism, blending symbolism and abstraction to suggest layers of meaning that cannot be spoken in words. A figure may dissolve into shadow, bloom into light, or merge with the surrounding environment, reflecting the fluidity of self and the spaces we inhabit.
For me, portraiture is not simply about representation but about connection — capturing a spirit that resonates with the viewer as much as with the subject. Each canvas becomes a reflection of both artist and sitter, revealing the timeless and transformative power of human presence.
