Drawings

My drawings are the quiet beginnings of larger stories, the place where ideas first take shape before evolving into larger works. Each line carries with it thought, emotion, and instinct, forming a visual language that often informs my paintings while also existing as complete and independent artworks.

This page brings together both intimate sketches and more refined works on paper, offering glimpses into the earliest stages of my creative process. Here, I experiment freely, testing forms, refining gestures, and exploring new atmospheres. Some drawings are quick notations of a fleeting thought or feeling, while others are slow studies that develop into fully realised pieces.

Drawing allows me to strip art-making back to its essence — the immediacy of mark-making, the honesty of a line, the rhythm of shadow and form. It is a space of discovery, where instinct guides the hand and reveals possibilities that painting alone may not uncover.

Together, these works trace the foundation of my practice, holding both the intimacy of raw creation and the discipline of refinement. They remind me that every finished artwork begins with a simple, deliberate mark.
