My oil paintings are immersive explorations of memory, identity, and place. Working with oil on linen allows me to build depth through layered colour, texture, and light, capturing both the strength and fragility of human experience. Each work carries traces of my process — washes of atmosphere, impasto textures, and intuitive marks that hold the energy of the moment.
These paintings often begin as drawings, quiet seeds that evolve into expansive narratives on canvas. In them, I explore the balance between realism and abstraction, where recognisable forms dissolve into gesture and atmosphere. Landscapes, figures, and symbolic elements intertwine, reflecting the way we perceive and inhabit the spaces around us.
For me, painting is not only a visual practice but also an emotional and philosophical one. Each canvas becomes a theatre of becoming — a place where questions of memory, transformation, and belonging can unfold. The slow, tactile nature of oil painting gives me space to reflect, to rework, and to let meaning emerge through the very act of layering pigment.
Every painting is both a personal reflection and an open invitation for viewers to find their own connections. Together, these works form a body of art that traces not just my journey as an artist, but also the shared human desire to see, to feel, and to remember.
